Laptop Support: Faculty & Staff

Standard Equipment
All faculty and staff joining Berea College will receive a college-issued laptop from our supported inventory, along with a docking station, monitor, keyboard/mouse.

Our two standard laptop options which the IT Department will provide at no cost to the requestor* are:
Dell Pro 14 - Specs: Ryzen 5, 32GB RAM, 256GB Storage
MacBook Air M5: 24GB RAM, 512GB Storage
* Provided at no cost for 1) new employees at the time of hire or 2) employees due for a refresh (laptops are refreshed on a 5-year cycle).

Note re: Early Upgrades: If a new computer is needed before the 5-year refresh cycle is complete, the full cost of the device will be charged to the requesting department.

IT will notify and schedule with you when your device is due for a refresh.
